There are many reasons why you might want to work for the TMO – we are an innovative social housing company with a good track record of success, and exciting prospects for the future. Here are ten more good reasons:
Full-time staff earn between 23 and 33 days annual leave each year depending on seniority and length of service.
Most TMO staff work at one of our four main sites close to High Street Kensington, Earls Court or Ladbroke Grove tube stations. The Borough is easy to get to from almost any part of London, and boasts excellent shops and restaurants from the boutiques of the King’s Road to the stalls of Portobello Road.
Free private health insurance is offered to all staff on Range E or on HAY management contracts regardless of their length of service, and all other staff after five years continuous employment with the TMO.
Once you have completed your probationary period you will be eligible for an interest-free loan to purchase an annual season ticket or a cycle for getting to work.
Staff with at least 12 month’s service can claim an allowance equivalent to the cost of a zone 1 & 2 annual season ticket to help repay their season ticket loan.
If membership of a professional association is directly connected to your job with the TMO we will reimburse the cost of your annual subscription.
The TMO recognises the need for people to balance their working life with other commitments and has introduced a variety of schemes that give staff the chance to adapt the way they work. A separate leaflet highlights these options in more detail.
The TMO has a voluntary pension scheme. Contributions are made of 6% of salary, and the pension paid is based on 1/80th of your final salary, multiplied by your years of scheme membership.
The Council operates two sports centres in the Borough, one near to the King’s Road and another close to Latimer Road tube station. TMO staff can use the facilities at these centres for free (swimming) or at a discounted rate.
We are committed to developing our staff through a wide range of training and development activities, including offering day release for appropriate professional qualifications.
