The TMO recognises that crime can have a devastating effect on the lives of individuals and we are committed to working with our partners to tackle criminal behaviour in the borough.
Residents affected by, or witnessing serious incidents of criminal behaviour should report it in the first instance to the police by dialling 999. For less serious incidents the general number for the Metropolitan police is 020 7222 1234.
In cases of harassment and intimidation the TMO will try, wherever possible, to rely on professional witnesses such as the Police and housing officers. However there will be cases where the TMO will need to demonstrate that nuisance or harassment has occurred and has radically disrupted the life of one or more residents. In some cases practical support must be provided to help overcome witnesses’ fears of attending Court and fears of possible reprisals.
The TMO and the council have devised a comprehensive policy statement that sets out our objectives and initiatives to combat all forms of anti-social behaviour. Please visit www.rbkc.gov.uk/YourCouncil/CommunitySafety/default.asp for further information.
