Communal repairs - tenants

The communal areas of estates are regularly inspected by the caretaking staff so that any necessary repairs can be quickly identified and carried out.

However, any resident wishing to report a repair in a communal area can do so by calling the TMO Freephone number 0800 137 111, or reporting it to the estate's caretaker.

Communal repairs include things like the communal lighting in a block of flats, or the communal drainpipes to a block of garages.

The TMO asks that you report requests for repairs to communal areas as soon as possible and we will be happy to undertake the work.

If you are aware that damage is being deliberately caused by an individual or groups of individuals, we would welcome information that could lead to those people being charged with the costs rather than those costs falling to the rent payers.
